Overview
Pall Mall is a critical regeneration scheme for Liverpool city centre.
Liverpool City Council acquired the 1.2 hectare site in 2016 to boost the city’s commercial district with much needed Grade A office space.
Kier Property and CTP Limited won the tender to redevelop Pall Mall Exchange and have now submitted a hybrid planning application for the £200m scheme in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district.
The scheme comprises 400,000 sq ft of new Grade A office space, a 280-bedroom hotel, associated retail and leisure amenities, as well as a new large scale and high-quality piece of landscaped green space and public realm.
The city council, which is has approved a masterplan to expand the Commercial District, is also exploring with Kier how to work with the new owner of the adjoining 3 hectare site used for car parking to create a second phase of development. This plot could deliver an additional mixed-use scheme including a hotel, new car park, leisure uses and up to 2,000 new apartments.
In total it is estimated a scheme for the entire 4.2 hectare site would be worth £200 million and create in excess of 1,000 jobs.
